A Family Legacy in Hospitality
In April 2018, Lenora Chong and her son, Larry Morrow, opened Morrow’s at 2438 St. Claude Avenue, blending classic New Orleans flavors with authentic Korean cuisine. With Lenora focused on curating the food and Larry dedicated to crafting the perfect vibe and filling seats, they created the ideal formula for Morrow’s success. For Lenora, it was another chapter in her culinary journey—this time, alongside her son. For Larry, then just 28, it was the beginning of something far greater—a vision to redefine hospitality through culture, community, and innovation. This was the birth of something extraordinary.
After the pandemic, Larry saw an opportunity to expand further. He knew that bringing this vision to life would require a stronger & bigger team, so he partnered with his good friend Jean Celestin. Though Jean didn’t have expertise in the restaurant industry, his relentless drive to succeed has played a major role in Morrow Hospitality’s growth.
Since 2021, Morrow Hospitality has rapidly expanded, opening six new locations, bringing the total to seven. Each offers exceptional food, vibrant energy, and a deep sense of community. From elevated dining to high-energy nightlife, these destinations have become staples for food lovers and culture seekers alike.
Morrow Hospitality is committed to becoming one of the largest Black-owned hospitality groups in the country while inspiring the next generation of Black hospitality leaders.
